The new Waterloo Boat House is now completed and available to rent. The new Boat House was built after the previous 45-year old boat house had to be demolished because it received extensive damage when the Cedar River hit record levels in June 2008. The previous boat house was also home for the Waterloo Rowing Club since the middle 1980s.
FEMA and Black Hawk County Gaming Association funds along with insurance coverage allowed the City of Waterloo to replace it with a wonderful new structure which again houses the Waterloo Rowing Club and also features a beautiful multi-purpose room with scenic views from above the Cedar River. We are excited to offer it for public or private use and hope it will be enjoyed for many years.
