Parents Education Program (P.E.P.)
The Sports Department has instituted a new Parent Education Program. This program is designed to make parents and fans more aware of how their actions affect youth sports programs, and most importantly how they affect the children involved. At least one parent, for each individual enrolled, will be required to watch our informational video before their child will be allowed to participate in any game situations. Once a parent has watched the video they will be issued a card and a P.E.P. number for their family.  Once an adult member of the family has completed the program, the family will not need to complete the program again for 2 years, unless actions are deemed unacceptable. All parents are welcome and encouraged to be involved, but only one parent is required. The staff will make many viewing sessions available at the beginning of each program for your convenience.

“Cones for Character”
The Leisure Services Sports Department is excited to announce a partnership with Hellman’s Dairy Queen to recognize children of high character. Youth who display good character, as viewed by staff, may be given a card good for a free cone at either Hellman’s Dairy Queen locations. We would like to thank Hellman’s Dairy Queen for their support and remind the youth of our community, Character Counts all the time.

Cedar River Youth Sports Complex -- The Annex and

Exchange diamonds are off limits for practices until further

notice.  The flood caused major damage to the fields and

fences, which makes these diamonds unsafe for play.
