Optimist AA Softball (2nd-3rd Grade Girls)

This program is for all interested players in the eligible grades. Players will be divided into teams. Teams will be guided by a qualified volunteer coach throughout a series of practices and games. Each player in the league will be outfitted in a complete Major League replica uniform: visor, jersey, shorts and socks. League-wide practices will begin in early May. There will be one league scheduled practice each week until games begin. League games will begin June 2nd. Teams will play approximately 10-12 games. Games will feature pitching and catching by the players. The program will meet on Monday and Wednesday evenings at Summit Complex. A league tournament concludes the program on July 21st. Basic instruction on the fundamental skills of the game and sportsmanship is given through the course of the program. |
