The 5-week program, on Saturday mornings, focuses on basic fundamentals of the game. The program begins on November 5, 2011 and concludes on December 17, 2011. The program will not meet on November 12. Participants may choose their time from the offerings below and will meet at the registered time each week.

The program features instruction and competition. The 5-week program, on Saturday mornings, focuses on basic fundamentals of the game. This program expands on the skills taught in the previous programs. There is a greater emphasis on rules of the game and understanding the basic flow of a basketball game. The 8-week program is held on Saturday mornings beginning January 7, 2012 and concludes on February 25, 2012. Participants may meet at any of the three times when games begin.

* 4th-6th Grade BasketballSponsored by: Waterloo Optimist Club
This program will include basic fundamental instruction through team practices and league play with a heavy emphasis placed on sportsmanship. Participants will take part in a tryout and then all players will be drafted onto a team for league and tournament play. Carpools may not be accommodated to assure talent level is evenly distributed. This league will conclude with a tournament and a league championship game. Referees and score-keepers will be used for games. Awards for 1st and 2nd place teams in both divisions. This program begins on December 5, 2011 and concludes on March 3, 2012. Participants meet on Saturdays between 11:00am-3:30pm and Mondays between 6:00pm - 8:00pm. Participants will receive a league schedule at the first team practice.
