Gates Park

New Amenities

Spray Pad and Inclusive Playground

New to the 2024 summer season at Gates Park is a spray pad and inclusive playground. These amenities are free to the public for use.

The spray pad is open 9:00am to 8:00pm during the operating season every day with the water turning off at 7:45pm. The operating season for the spray pad is approximately mid-May to mid-September dependent on weather conditions.

The inclusive play area is open 9:00am to 8:00pm during the operating season. The operating season for the inclusive play area is approximately early April to mid-October dependent on weather conditions.

Basketball Courts and Amphitheater

New to the 2025 summer season at Gates Park are lit full court basketball courts, multi-purpose paved rink and events amphitheater. These amenities are free to the public for use.

Use of park facilities for events is subject to request and review by City of Waterloo staff. Please submit a Facility Special Event Request form to Leisure Services.
